I want to run for the postgraduate taught rep as I am studying a masters in special and inclusive education. My top priority is inclusion and safeguarding so if the president is struggling due to any safeguarding issues I’d be honoured to step in and help.
With over six years of experience in autism advocacy, I am passionate about creating supportive spaces for neurodiverse students at UCL. In my role as a Trustee and Social Media Coordinator for Talking Autism in Zimbabwe, I developed communication strategies, managed public relations, and created engaging content for newsletters and social media. Through these efforts, I built an online community to raise awareness and support for autism, a vision I hope to bring to UCL’s Autism Society.
If elected, I will leverage this experience to create a welcoming space for autistic students, particularly those in postgraduate programs, by prioritizing academic support and mental health initiatives. My goal is to raise autism awareness while advocating for systemic support within UCL’s policies, creating a truly neuro-inclusive environment. With my skills in content creation and community-building, I am committed to amplifying the voices of autistic students at UCL, ensuring their perspectives are visible, valued, and celebrated.
