Arts and Sciences Society: Head of Events

Hello fellow bascers! I’m Shania, a 2nd year undergraduate in the Cultures Pathway. As someone deeply passionate about enhancing our society's experiences, I believe I would be an excellent fit for the role of Head of Events. My commitment to fostering an inclusive and vibrant community is evident in my current role as the Language Buddy Programme Organiser. As your Head of Events, I envision creating a series of engaging, interactive, and inclusive events that not only celebrate our highly diverse cultures but also facilitate connection and collaboration amongst all members. I believe that events should be more than just fun gatherings—they should be memorable experiences where everyone feels valued and included, whether they're stepping into the spotlight or enjoying the experience the atmosphere. To make sure our events hit the mark, I plan to work closely with you to implement feedback mechanisms that allow us to continuously adapt our events to meet the interests and needs of our members. Whether it’s a BASC ball or a chill pizza night, I look forward to working together to make our society’s events the best they can be!
