As Events Officer for the ADM Mathematics Society, I’m excited to bring new ideas and energy to the role. Mathematics is more than theory; it’s a tool that shapes our world. My goal is to connect academic concepts with real-world applications, making math engaging and accessible.

I plan to organize diverse events appealing to various interests. For instance, I’d bring in guest speakers from fields like data science, finance, and AI to highlight how mathematics drives innovation. Workshops on practical skills, such as programming for modeling or solving real-world cases, would show theory in action.

Building a strong social community is also important to me. Math can be challenging, and support networks are invaluable. I’d arrange socials, group study sessions, and collaborative competitions, helping members feel part of a welcoming community.

With my international background and passion for problem-solving, I believe I can bring a unique perspective to the role. I’m dedicated to fostering an inclusive, inspiring environment where everyone can explore math beyond the classroom. Let’s make the ADM Mathematics Society a hub for learning, growth, and connection at UCL.

I am standing for the position of Events Officer in the UCL Math Society because I am passionate about making mathematics more accessible and engaging to others. As a Theoretical Physics student, I have seen firsthand how mathematics is not only a powerful tool in understanding the universe, but also an integral part of our everyday lives. I want to share this enthusiasm with others and help bridge the gap between abstract mathematical concepts and real-world applications.

Alongside my academic interests, I have practical experience in event planning, having worked as a freelance event organizer for social establishments in Mumbai for over a year. This has equipped me with the skills to plan, organize, and execute a wide range of events, from large gatherings to smaller, more interactive experiences. I believe these skills would be invaluable in curating events that inspire and engage UCL students in creative ways, whether it’s through workshops, math-related social events, or collaborative initiatives with other societies.

By combining my love for mathematics with my event management experience, I aim to create events that make math more approachable and exciting for everyone, fostering a greater appreciation for its beauty and relevance in everyday life.
