Hello All!

I’m Sam and have been the Interim Editor in Chief since December and the Investigations Editor before that. I’ve had an amazing time doing the job so far and have loved working with everyone to publish amazing content both serious and funny to continue being the best media society at UCL.

I’d be honoured to be elected to the post to continue pushing out our amazing content.

Katherine Marlow

My name is Katherine, and I am a second year History student. Since joining Cheese Grater in September, I have worked predominately with the Zine, Women’s Wrongs. The fun and inclusive environment fostered by the Co-Editors fuelled my excitement to write about the things I enjoy and care about. I’ve written a number of satirical articles for the Zine and, as a new writer for the magazine, I was supported by the Zine's Co-Editors along the way. As Editor-in-Chief, I’d love to contribute to this environment and motivate others to produce content that they love, as I was encouraged to.

Whilst I have mainly focused on satirical writing during my time at Cheese Grater, I have also had experience writing a range of news and feature articles for other publications. Covering a variety of topics and styles of writing has given me the skillset to grasp what makes a great piece for all sections of the publication. I am also optimistic that I will be able to help others develop their own writing style and journalistic skills, whilst also communicating with the editors of the various sections of the magazine.

Cheese Grater’s community spirit has made me more confident in my writing ability and has also made me want to continue to write both serious and light-hearted articles. If I were elected as Editor-in-Chief I hope that I would continue to cultivate this environment.
