Students’ Union UCL does not tolerate sexual misconduct, bullying and harassment in any form online or on campus. This is why the Union and UCL have joined forces to run the Active Bystander Programme as part of the Full Stop campaign to continue tackling unacceptable behaviours at UCL and beyond.

If you pass the refresher quiz, it will not be compulsory for you to take the online training module. However, if you still wish to take the online training module, you are welcome to do so.

If you fail the refresher quiz, you must proceed with taking the online training module to refresh and enhance your knowledge about being an Active Bystander.

Online Training Module:

This will include key definitions, safe and appropriate methods of intervention, exploration of different scenarios and reporting and support for witnessed behaviour. Approximate time to complete is 30 to 40 minutes.

Live Workshop Discussion:

Once you have completed the online training module, you can sign up to one of the live workshop discussions, which will be facilitated by our Workshop Leaders via Microsoft Teams. The live workshops are an opportunity for you to practically apply the content learnt in the online training and explore the scenarios and intervention techniques further. These workshops will be scheduled for 40 minutes.
