What is the Community Research Hatchery?
At the Community Research Network, we're flinging open the doors at UCL and creating ways for small and grassroots organisations to get connected with the university. Why? In case there's anything we can do together to benefit your amazing work.
We operate as a support and signposting network with training opportunities and tailored support solutions to get you research-ready and partnership-confident. Our goal is to make it possible for you to grow what you do in partnership with our top-tier students and academics.
We are dedicated to UCL's commitment of working with and for its local community. Co-design and partnership are integral to our work. The Network currently extends across East London and Camden and is in partnership with UCL's Evaluation Exchange, Compass Wellbeing, Voluntary Action Camden, and Kentish Town Community Centre.
I'm a grassroots organisation! How can the Community Research Hatchery help me?
The Network offers opportunities in four areas:
- Networking and connecting with other organisation and community leaders in the same position as you.
- Building university partnerships with UCL researchers and academics
- Training opportunities, designed to build your research capabilities and university partnership capacity
- Bespoke and 1:1 support, to help understand your needs and connect you to the right people
