Why coach?

  • Personal and professional development
  • Gain nationally recognised qualifications and experience that is respected by employers.
  • Develop key skills and grow your confidence.
  • Meet new people and develop others.
  • Give back to a sport you love.

Coaching opportunities

TeamUCL Clubs

We have over 80 sports clubs at TeamUCL, many of which contract coaches to deliver activity. As a student, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop in your coaching skills and contribute back directly to the student community. Our clubs contract voluntary, assistant and lead coaches so this is an option for both experienced and new coaches.

Getting qualified

The journey to becoming qualified looks different across sports. Find out more about each sport in the drop-downs below.

We can also support you to become a qualified coach. Through our Sports Leadership & Volunteering Fund you could receive a grant to cover up to 75% (up to £250) of the course cost.
