We are a society that inspires and enables students to become a part of the green economy and facilitate change, helping them envision their place in it. We act as a platform for discussions across disciplines and different segments of society from government, corporate, and community to the individual level.
Our goals:
- Introduce to and engage students with careers in the environmental sector as well as firms who believe strongly in the concept of sustainability.
- Increase awareness of sustainable developments where the green economy is the determining driver.
- Offer a platform for multidisciplinary discussion on sustainability.
Our activities:
- Panel discussions and workshops from a wide range of speakers including industry professionals, environmental consultants, academics, entrepreneurs, researchers, policy-makers and project leaders.
- The Green Business Forum (GBF) - our annual flagship event, consisting of high-profile speakers and opportunities for networking.
- Participation in Sustainable UCL campaigns to improve sustainability around campus.
- Collaborations with LSC Sustain, the sustainability branch of a student consulting group that exclusively recruits UCL student consultants through us.
