Meet the Black Women Kindness Initiative
Black Women Kindness Initiative CIC create culturally responsive spaces where Black women can strengthen their confidence, wellbeing, identity and voice. They bring together creative health, storytelling, performance, enterprise and community engagement.

Cherrill Hutchinson founded Black Women Kindness Initiative in 2019:
"I founded Black Women Kindness Initiative because I needed it — and I couldn't find it. I was looking for a space where I could grow, heal, and be supported as a Black woman: not just professionally, but personally and creatively too. A space that felt like it was made for me, not adapted for me. I looked around, and it wasn't there.
So I built it. What started as a vision has become a community — of women who show up for each other, who celebrate each other's milestones, and who know that they are not alone.
Black Women Kindness Initiative is more than a mission. It's a movement, rooted in kindness, built on community, and always — always — led by love."

Spotlight Project: Unheard Now Spoken
Carrying stories of joy, sorrow, resilience, and triumph, women have always gathered, building bonds of sisterhood through the power of shared experiences. This journey began with words held close, then poured onto the pages of Voices in Harmony, a book that was published last year. This year, that journey continued as the stories moved from page to stage.
Unheard, Now Spoken - a play that is more than a performance; it is an emotional journey. Through poetry, storytelling, movement, and music, we bring the voices of women to life, illuminating the strength and vulnerability woven into each story. This is not just about witnessing a performance, it's about connection, reflection, and seeing our own lives in each other's stories.
Keep an eye on the next performance date, as we break the silence and speak the truths that have long remained unheard.
