UCL! The Musical Auditions are now open!
This November, ‘UCL! The Musical’ a brand-new original play will be home to the Bloomsbury Theatre this November for two weeks, and auditions for actors are now open!
This is your chance to be in something no one has ever seen before. UCL! The Musical is a brand-new show, and whoever we cast will be the very first people to bring it to life.
About the show
When outgoing Masters student Connie is placed with uptight archivist Clive, their clash of personalities is the least of their problems. One charming peer and one very wrong signature later, UCL has been signed away. Now Connie, Clive and his old flame Jane must team up with some ghosts of UCL's past to get the deeds back, before the university faces its biggest threat in 200 years.
At the heart is a group of characters that are nuanced and reflect the vast community of UCL.
Performances run 24–28 November 2026 at the Bloomsbury Theatre.
Why audition?
This is your chance to be part of the very first cast of a brand-new musical.
UCL! The Musical is a brand-new show, offering excellent acting, comedy and musical opportunities!
Everyone is welcome, whatever your experience. There are big principal roles, a lively ensemble and tap-dancing Jeremy Benthams.
It is an ensemble-heavy musical where your experiences as students at UCL and your ideas will help shape the show, and in addition you will get to sing original catchy songs, and perform in a funny and moving show at the incredible Bloomsbury Theatre.
We want a cast that looks like London, so it doesn't matter whether you've done fifty shows or none. If you've ever wanted to be on the Bloomsbury Theatre stage in a show that's truly yours, this is it!
Audition Dates
All auditions take place in the Rehearsal Room, 1st Floor, Bloomsbury Theatre Building and will happen between Monday 5 October to Friday 9 October.

Sign Up for an Audition
To audition, you must complete the audition form and either book an in‑person slot or submit a self‑tape.
1. Book your audition slot
Choose a free 10‑minute slot on the sign‑up sheet for the day that suits you. Include your name and UCL email. Please take one slot only.

2. Book your dance call
Pick one dance call only (either Wednesday or Friday).

3. Fill in the audition form
This takes around 10 minutes and is required for both in‑person auditions and self‑tapes.
