Looking for things to do in London this summer? Why not try out volunteering!

Summer is a great time to get involved in something new. Organisations run plenty of flexible opportunities, like festivals, environmental activities, fundraising events and kids’ holiday camps. These short-term or one-off roles are a great way to get involved and see if volunteering is something that works for you!

Make sure to check out Summer Volunteering Directory, and check out some of the opportunities below!

In the mood for a summer festival? Why not volunteer at Museum of the Home’s Summer Party or at one of Poplar HARCA’s many Summer Festivals!

Want a way to cool down this summer? Centre 404 is looking for a Swimming Support Volunteer to join them on Saturdays to support children with learning disabilities and autism at a swimming class.

Or why not join Cody Dock on Thursday the 27th of July to collect data about the River Lea! If you’re interested in the environment and like to sound of getting in the water in waders or wellies, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

If you like working with children, make sure to check out the many opportunities to get involved in summer camps and events. Salusbury World is looking for volunteers to join them at the Summer Holiday Camp for refugee children. Or check out Kith & Kids, who are recruiting for volunteers at their action-packed residential Autism Summer Camp.

Maybe you’d just like to get outside and enjoy the summer weather. Gardening is a great way to get your hands dirty and help out the community. Sign up for gardening with Centre 404, Cody Dock, and more!
