From Monday 1 June to Saturday 13 June, the artsUCL Fringe Festival will take over campus with theatre, comedy, dance, music, drag, stand-up, musical theatre - and everything in-between as we come together to mark the bicentenary year celebrations. This is your chance to take risks, explore ideas, and create something unforgettable this year. Applications are OPEN now to take part.
Who can apply to the artsUCL Fringe Festival?
From experienced artists to curious beginners, anyone can apply to put on a show!
Now is the time to put on that show you’ve always wanted to do, test out the stand-up set you’ve rehearsed in your bedroom, debut the original song you’ve been writing, or try something completely new. This is your moment to take part – the artsUCL Fringe Festival is your platform to take risks, to explore ideas, to create something unforgettable!

How do I apply for the artsUCL Fringe Festival?
Applying is easy. Simply, fill in the artsUCL Fringe Festival Application Form.
The deadline for applications is Monday 23 March 2026, but the artsUCL Fringe Festival is programmed on a rolling basis, which means that you do not have to wait until March to submit your application – you can do it whenever you like, and you’ll receive a response within a few days!
Do I need to be a member of a club or society?
You do not need to be a member of a club or society to apply for the artsUCL Fringe Festival.
Applications are open to all UCL students, whether you are part of an arts society, cultural society, sports club, or no society at all - this is solely your opportunity to explore your creativity independently.
What kind of show will work at the artsUCL Fringe Festival?
Like we said at the top - Anything and Everything!
Fringe Festivals around the world thrive on variety, boldness and experimentation, and the artsUCL Fringe Festival will be no different - we want to see it all!
This is your space to try out whatever you want in a low-risk creative environment, with the support of artsUCL behind you. You could do a one-person drag show, a play with a couple of friends or a massive musical, it's up to you!
Also, artsUCL is a broad church, and the artsUCL Fringe Festival is no different. The ethos of our festival is Anything, Everything, Everywhere, so as long as a show is feasible and there are no major issues, then it will get a slot in the artsUCL Fringe Festival.
If I have no prior experience of putting on a show, can I still apply?
Definitely!

artsUCL understands that accessing the arts can come with many financial barriers, so we have ensured that there are absolutely no costs in putting on a show at the artsUCL Fringe Festival - it's completely free to take part.
