Academic Reps do one of the most important jobs in the Union: They ensure students have a voice in enhancing their education.
Each month, we’re featuring your reps and the work they’re doing to improve UCL. If you have an idea about improving your course, your department, or UCL, you can contact your Academic Rep using our 'Find Your Rep page'.
Academic Rep of the Month: Tuoxi Wu
Tuoxi Wu has grown in her role and developed her skills for the benefit of others, which has been recognised by her peers.
Tuoxi has come a long way but is still looking to improve further, and wants to create even more ties between students and staff in the near future.
Thank you for all of your hard work, Tuoxi!
Here's a quick word from Tuoxi:

I am one of the reps in MA Digital Media: Education. I would say being a rep bring me a lot of courage to support others. I would put myself in their positions with empathy to understand my peers’ need and actively seek for solutions. I energetically share information with my peers, staffs, and other reps to make the most of the activities and the useful information collected.
To benefit more students, I held a social event and shared with the reps in other routes to reach larger cohort of MA Digital Media. In another aspect, I contributed my experiences and skills gained in a wide range of activities and opportunities to make sure the voice of the people I represent being heard for any possibility to benefit more people.
As a rep, I wish I could be an efficient bridge between students and staffs and an approachable person to support my peers and even wider range of people.
