Desirable skills and experience

- Ability to engage effectively with Black African or MSM communities

- Excellent communication and active listening skills

- A basic understanding of the issues relating to HIV and AIDS, or willingness to learn

Commitment: Minimum 6 month commitment

Location: Various locations around Redbridge.

Opportunity: Group Facilitation Volunteers

ELOP’s Club Mellow Programme runs a number of weekly, daytime, fortnightly & monthly daytime, evening & weekend social & support groups, activities & events. Some groups are targeted, such as our women’s group, youth club, parent, baby & toddler morning, men’s group etc. and others may be mixed or themed based & open for all LGBT community members. You will help to organise & facilitate group sessions, support & enable group members involvement, and help ensure an accessible & welcoming environment is provided to all those attending.


Community Research Volunteer

Opening Doors London is the LGBTQ+ organisation for people aged over 50 working under the Age UK Camden umbrella. We are recruiting a cohort of Volunteer Community Researchers who will support our mission to become an evidence based organisation. We are looking for LGBTQ+ aware people of all ages to help support our operations team and our team of external evaluators who are undertaking a year-long study to assess the effectiveness of our charity. We need support collecting information from stakeholders and broader LGBTQ+ communities.
