Join Us for a Thames Microplastic Beach Clean with Washed Up Cards on the Isle of Dogs
Join Washed Up Cards for a wholesome and meditative beach clean along the River Thames. This session will focus on collecting microplastics which are tiny pieces of plastic less than 5mm in size which helps to protect local wildlife and reduce plastic pollution in one of London’s most iconic rivers.
Washed Up Cards is an eco-conscious organisation that raises awareness about plastic pollution through creative reuse and environmental action. Their work focuses on protecting waterways, wildlife, and inspiring communities to take small but meaningful steps towards a cleaner planet.
Connected Event
The plastic collected at this event will be used in our Crafternoon: Turning Plastic into Purpose with Washed Up Cards, giving you the chance to turn waste into meaningful, handmade cards in a creative workshop at UCL.
