Join Us for Bridgewatch Patrol for walking on bridges in the City of London
Join Bridgewatch volunteers to patrol the five bridges of the City of London, Tower, London, Southwark, Millennium, and Blackfriars. You’ll walk with experienced teams who offer a reassuring presence, distribute leaflets and support materials, and promote the Bridgewatch initiative.
Bridgewatch is a volunteer-led suicide intervention initiative that patrols the bridges of the City of London to support residents, workers, and visitors who may be struggling. The project raises awareness of suicide prevention, provides immediate support, and connects individuals to vital services during the winter period.
🧤 What’s a Big Help Out?
Big Help Outs are fun one-off volunteering opportunities that involve a big group. It's all about small actions creating big change when we work together. At our events, you’ll always find friendly student and staff faces to make sure you feel welcome and supported.
Why Join in?
Help bring comfort, connection, and hope to Londoners who might be struggling this holiday season. By volunteering, you’ll be part of a compassionate initiative that makes a real difference and you’ll also gain valuable awareness and training opportunities in suicide intervention.
To support your involvement, travel expenses will be reimbursed, and if you volunteer for more than six hours, lunch will be provided.
