Description

Want to make a difference to the running of UCL Law for All Society? Now is your chance to join next year's LfA committee! Come along to our AGM on 19th March to run for a position and vote! Being on the LfA committee is a fantastic way to gain exposure to the legal sector by interacting with our sponsors and speakers, and build your network. Many of our committee members have gone on to secure vacation schemes at top law firms, and further study opportunities at leading institutions, including Cambridge. Employers consider acting on the committee of a university society to be valuable work experience. You will gain experience in a position of leadership, and develop your teamwork, interpersonal and time management skills, thereby greatly enhancing your future applications. We encourage all those considering running to attend the Law for All Society End of Year Social to find out more about what being on committee involves. Come along with any ideas you have on what you would like to bring to the society next year. It will also be an opportunity to meet other LfA members ahead of the AGM. Free drinks and snacks will be provided! If you would like to run for a position, please email us (su-u.all@ucl.ac.uk) with your name, course, year group, and the position(s) you would like to run for. You may run for a maximum of TWO POSITIONS. Please note that you MUST BE AN LFA MEMBER to be considered. You will be required to deliver a short speech on your motivation for joining the committee and what you would bring to the society. If you are CURRENTLY ON YOUR YEAR ABROAD, you are welcome to run by sending in a video entry or having someone read your speech out on your behalf at the AGM.
