Before the Workshop: What You Need to Do
To help us focus the workshop on practical tips for applying to UN internship roles, please complete the following steps before attending:
- Create an Inspira Account
Inspira is the platform used to apply for UN vacancies.
Create your account here: careers.un.org/how-to-apply?language=en - Complete Your Personal Profile on Inspira
Once your account is set up, fill in the Personal Profile section.
You will not be able to apply for any vacancies until this is completed. - Identify a UN Internship Role of Interest
Visit careers.un.org/home and select “Internship” in the “Category” box.
Choose an internship you may wish to apply for.
Important: The closing date must be 2 December or later, as applications cannot be accessed after their deadline has passed. - Prepare a Motivation Statement
Please draft, or at least consider, what you would include in a motivation statement for the internship you selected. We will be discussing motivation statements during the workshop, so having examples or questions ready will help you get the most out of the session.
Punn Hall in the IOE is wheelchair accessible.
