Join Team Jump for an interactive online session exploring how Universities can turn sustainability awareness into meaningful, sustained Climate Action.

Despite growing awareness of environmental issues, many organisations continue to face an ‘awareness–action gap’, where positive attitudes do not always translate into behavioural change. This session draws on the latest evidence and practical experience to explore how universities can empower staff and students to take action at scale.

Part One: National Insights on Sustainability Engagement

Rob Marsh, Client Success Director, Team Jump

Rob will share key findings from Team Jump’s Sustainability Engagement Trends Report 2024, which gathered responses from over 1,500 employees across a range of roles and sectors, including Higher Education, to understand how UK employees perceive their organisation’s sustainability strategy and what motivates them to take action.

He will also present insights from the Sustainability Engagement Trends Report 2026, based on responses from over 1,350 Green Champions, examining the challenges and opportunities involved in driving climate action within organisations, including universities.

Together, these findings provide a national picture of what enables (and limits) effective sustainability engagement in the workplace and education settings.

Part Two: A Practical 10-Step Handbook for University Sustainability Champions

Katie Rees, Engagement Director, Team Jump

Katie will introduce a practical 10-step framework designed specifically for Sustainability Champions working in universities. The session will focus on how Champions can act as advocates for institutional sustainability strategies, build confidence in communicating climate priorities, and motivate peers to get involved.

Participants will leave with practical tools and evidence-based approaches to help strengthen engagement and accelerate progress towards institutional climate goals.
