On Saturday 22nd we are heading to Rainham Marshes on the outskirts of London to visit the wonderful wetland birds and wildlife! ππ¦
The wetlands boast a range of species including; kingfishers, egrets, lapwings (as featured above!), swifts, dragonflies and robins. The walk will be lead by Ari, our regular bird walk leader, whom has previously visited the wetlands many a time.
Please do ensure to bring a packed lunch and everything you need for the day as there is no shop in walking distance.
We will be meeting at the Rainham Marshes Visitor Centre at 10 AM. The best way to get there from the UCL campus is via tube to Barking, and then train to Purfleet, followed by a 15 min walk.
This trip will be ticketed so please do sign up for a free ticket (they will be in our bio and on our story ASAP)!
