Liam Conlon was elected during the 2024 election, in the newly created seat of Beckenham and Penge, where UCL Students (most notably our dearly missed former president) and Labour students from across London played a crucial role in his election. We are pleased to host another event with him, this time as an MP and at parliament.
He will give a speech about his time in politics; how he first got involved, his experience throughout the campaign and what he's been up to in Parliament since. This will be followed by a Q&A session where you will be able to pose questions and discuss topics with Liam.

Uma Kumaran is the newly elected MP for Stratford and Bow. She has spent much of her career working for the Labour party in various roles, including for Sadiq Khan and Keir Starmer.

If you've never visited parliament before this is an amazing opportunity to do so, and to sit and soak up the atmosphere of its lavish and historical committee rooms.
