A mental health service provider for the borough of Camden. We promote wellbeing by providing services that support individual responsibility, independence, interdependence, and inclusion in the wider community. Volunteering is possible in the Phoenix Wellbeing and Recovery Service, and Healthy Minds Project which has two branches: our onsite Community Programme and our Social Prescribing Team based in St Pancras Hospital.

Volunteers provide practical help and support for people who are isolated, many of whom have mental health issues. These roles give volunteers the opportunity to gain practical experience and to learn from more experienced volunteers and staff. They are open to a wide range of people, including people who use the service.

Phoenix Recovery volunteers undertake a range of tasks including preparing food, setting up the centre for sessions, one-to-one support sessions with individuals, or helping to run sessions at the Centre.

Healthy mind activity volunteers and social prescribing volunteers help people to consider what they would like to do to improve their mental health, connect with the community and learn new skills and then support those people to access activities. We also have opportunities in our Mind in Camden charity shop.
