Good News Shared, a not-for-profit online platform featuring positive news stories is looking for writers to contribute articles about the wonderful things people and organisations are getting up to during this challenging time.

The voluntary role will involve contacting local charities and social enterprises to let them know about Good News Shared, and to create interesting content from the information they provide.

Volunteers are required to spend a minimum of 4 hours a week on researching and writing content, and to commit to a minimum of 2 months.

This is a flexible, home-based opportunity, so you will be able to work the hours you want. You will need to have excellent writing skills, be self-motivated, creative, curious, and have good communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in journalism, creative writing, marketing, or within the voluntary sector. The role’s aim is to research and write articles about the positive contributions organisations are making to society.

Good News Shared aims to highlight and celebrate the impact and achievements of charities. Help us increase our SEO and assist us in monitoring our google analytics. This role is very important to the success of the organisation. We are looking for someone with the relevant knowledge and experience, but also someone with passion and the ability to work independently.

The aim of the role is to ensure that Google Analytics has been set up correctly to enable us to collect all the information we want/need and to help us maximise our reach through organic search results.

Use your social media skills to make a difference to millions of peoples’ lives by volunteering for Good News Shared, an online media platform promoting the work and impact of charities around the world. If you have experience of using Facebook and Twitter, and you are an optimistic, upbeat person, we are looking for you! We are looking for someone to create positive, uplifting content for our Twitter and Facebook pages to attract new readers and keep our current supporters engaged. By attracting more readers we will be telling more people about the great stuff happening in the world and the opportunities that are available to them. This is a flexible role that you can do from home at times that suit you. The aim of the role is to promote Good News Shared and engage with our supporters via social media.
