Description
Home-Start Camden and Islington is committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. Supported by dedicated and experienced staff, our volunteers offer regular support, friendship, and practical help to families under stress in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.
We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help the Home-Start Camden and Islington Staff to support and change the lives of families by helping us with publicity, marketing and communications.
Duties
As a Social Media Volunteer, your role will be focused on:
- Planning social media content in relation to internal Home-Start events, local events in Camden and Islington, wider Home-Start UK and Home-Start London activities and global events including awareness days.
- Creating content to be attractive, informative, and inclusive.
- Posting across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Supporting the Funding Manager to utilise social media to thank and engage our supporters, donors, and funders.
- Creating new ideas to make the best use of our social media to improve our engagement with families we support, and existing and potential volunteers.
- Collaborating with other team members and external consultants to contribute to and adhere to the wider communications strategy.
- Maintain strict GDPR and confidentiality practices at all times.
- Monitor and report on the engagement rates of each post/platform to inform our messaging.
Who will the volunteers be working with?
The volunteer will be working with the Head of Delivery.
Time commitment
We are looking for someone who can work 1 day per week. We would like the volunteer to start as soon as possible.
