Description

Paiwand is operating as a main organisation to help many refugees in London. It is important to monitor the news because it helps us stay knowledgeable on current affairs and subsequently update our work. Volunteers will also benefit from this role by developing their ability to skim information and summarise relevant points.

Duties
  • Keep on top of news related to charities

  • Summarise important information to relay to the Company Director

  • Feedback any changes to policies that are announced on the news

  • Monitor NGOs

  • Check national and international news

Who will the volunteers be working with?
The company director.
Training
The volunteer will have an induction and be trained on their role duties.

Time commitment

We ideally would ask the volunteer to commit to 2 days a week for a minimum of 6-months. The working hours are flexible and can be planned with their line manager.

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working to keep you safe and supported whilst you volunteer.

You’ll never be out of pocket for volunteering through us – with in-London travel expenses to and from your volunteering guaranteed.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch with us at any time.
