Editors for Impact is a Community Interested Company dedicated to providing small charities addressing problems in social development or environmental sustainability with free media representation services ranging from video-photo editing to marketing and branding. Our organization connects partner charities with our network of creative volunteers to deliver projects that can help these organizations secure critical funding and establish meaningful partnerships.Through this system, Editors for Impact ensures that resource and time constrained organizations are able to share their impact and reach a wider audience. In addition, we offer volunteers the opportunity to gain experience by joining our management team to grow Editors for Impact or joining our Impact Editor network which allows creatives of all skill levels to work on projects with real clients.
Editors for Impact’s Management Team
The management team at Editors for Impact is mainly composed of graduate and undergraduate students from universities around the UK. Members of the management team gain valuable experience growing a small social enterprise while developing leadership skills by taking responsibility for projects and teams, with the opportunity to progress from Executive roles to Head of Department and even Managing Director. While running Editors for Impact, committed volunteers can build a portfolio of achievements and skills that will be transferable to all types of careers. Throughout all roles, management team members will gain experience in areas such as partner and sector stakeholder liaison, collaboration and coordination with a wider team, personnel management, project delivery and target setting.
The Marketing Executive works closely with the Operations department and Managing Director to build Editor for Impact’s public presence in addition to defining our impact. The position will involve developing Editor for Impact’s marketing strategy, focusing on managing social media and liaising with all members of the organization to create engaging and impactful content. Furthermore, we are looking for individuals with strong management skills and the potential to become the Head of Marketing who oversees and leads the Marketing department, so there can be rapid role progression subject to your performance as an Executive. Initiative and leadership are strongly encouraged, with space for creative freedom to implement your ideas.
The position involves:
- Liaising with Editors, charity partners and management team members to collect visual and written material for the monthly newsletter, as well as arranging and editing the newsletter.
- Researching and planning marketing and social media content in advance to build Editors for Impact’s public presence.
- Creation of visually appealing graphics and accompanying text for social media posts to improve Editors for Impact’s brand image.
