Age UK Kensington & Chelsea is a local charity working with and for older people. We aim to promote independence and well-being in later life, encouraging self-help and peer support. We offer a wide range of services and activities, and provide interesting opportunities for people of all ages to get involved as volunteers.
Description
Our Activities & Events programme is an innovative programme which seeks to bring together communities to engender a sense of belonging. We promote integration, inclusion and independence by supporting isolated older people in Kensington & Chelsea to take part in group activities.
We are looking for a volunteer who can teach Italian as part of our Activities & Events programme. This project supports older people at risk of social isolation by bringing them together to learn a new skill.
Duties
- Native Italian skills
- Good communication skills
- An ability to work independently
- Commitment to the role
- Ability to teach in a flexible and creative way meeting the different needs of a variety of students
- To develop primarily speaking and listening skills

Age UK Kensington & Chelsea will provide an induction before you start the volunteering opportunity.
Time commitment
One hour a week.
