Marie Curie
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity. We provide frontline nursing and hospice care, a free support line and a wealth of information and support on all aspects of dying, death and bereavement. Now more than ever, we need your help to support people with a terminal illness and their families.

We are looking for volunteers to support our physiotherapy team run gym sessions in our hospices, so that patients can exercise in a safe and welcoming environment. Without the support of our volunteers, these sessions simply could not happen.

Time commitment

We would like a commitment of 2-3 hours a week for 6 months.
The gym is open within the Hospice on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from late morning into the afternoon. We are also looking to expand the gym sessions, so individuals with availability on Monday and Thursday should also enquire!
What measures have you put in place to ensure volunteers’ safety during COVID-19?
We have relaxed our COVID-19 restrictions. However, we follow NHS guidance and implement necessary precautions if there are any signs of a potential outbreak.
If you are feeling unwell or test positive, please do not come to volunteer.
