We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us turn one unused backyard at Thames Reach Hostels into a comfortable garden for residents to socialize and enjoy life.
Currently, Thames Reach Hostels have 4 sites with low-maintenance gardens. These spaces have a high potential to be redeveloped into cosy spaces for residents at Thames Reach hostels to walk around and enjoy their free time. Thames Reach hostels take care of residents who are homeless or vulnerable. We believe that having a comfortable garden will improve their living quality and make the hostel more cheerful and energetic.
Our goal is to clean up the weeds and turn the unused space into an organized, comfortable, and possibly functional garden. We have 500 pounds of budget for tools and plants, so we look toward your creative ideas to utilize what we have and make changes!
Cost: all travel cost is covered by UCL volunteering! Please see the guidance on how to claim expenses for terms and requirements.
