Benjamin Franklin House is the world's only remaining home of Dr Benjamin Franklin – scientist, diplomat, philosopher, inventor, Founding Father of the United States and more. Franklin lived in the House for nearly sixteen years between 1757 and 1775. Today, 36 Craven Street is a small historic house and educational facility.
Our volunteers get involved in every aspect of running our grade I listed property and small museum. They are responsible for running the Box Office and shop, give tours of the House to visitors, and are also involved with the planning and running of our busy and varied events programme.
We are looking for a volunteer who is interested in making history engaging to the public and is looking to gain experience of managing a heritage site in the heart of London.
