Dockland Settlements
The Dockland Settlements aims to provide support to local communities who live close to our centres. Our focus is on working in Newham, Southwark and Tower Hamlets to provide sporting, social, recreational and educational activities. We provide low cost playcare to help parents go back to work or remain in work. Since 1894 we have helped more than half a million people. 
Description

At Dockland Settlements, we support communities through a range of opportunities, from providing food banks and hot meals to ballroom dancing clubs. We are looking for creative, internet-savvy volunteers to help develop our digital footprint. There are many ways you can get involved!

Opportunities include: 

  • Website Design
  • Social Media Maintenance
  • Photographer/Videographer

However you choose to volunteer, you will be making a huge difference by giving back to the East London community.

Duties

Social Media: We need volunteers to help run and maintain our social media channels. We have incredible events each week but need help showcasing the work we do for the community and spreading the word. We need someone to manage our Facebook/Instagram/TikTok pages. We would hugely appreciate a volunteer who can make short films or create case studies but any of these skills would be very helpful.  

Website Design: We need volunteers to help create an updated website that is user-friendly and clearly displays the work we do.  

Photographer/Videographer: We need a photographer to attend community events to help us capture our impact. We also need updated photos of the centre and our activities in general. This will help us to create case studies for our Funding/donation opportunities, help us engage with more corporate support, and recruit more volunteers.  

Time commitment
