Do you have a passion for helping others and want to make a difference in your community? Join us as a Volunteer Digital Champion and be part of our Digital Champions Network to promote digital literacy and access in Camden. You don't need to be a tech expert; all you need is a willingness to learn and a desire to help people.

 

Duties
  • Be a friendly face and a trusted guide for digital inclusion in the community, to help people learn digital skills, use technology, and access online resources.
  • Assist individuals in using digital devices, apps, and online platforms.
  • Lead digital literacy workshops and training sessions for all skill levels.
  • Connect individuals with resources like affordable internet options or refurbished or granted devices providers.
  • Spread the word about digital inclusion initiatives through outreach activities.
  • Complete our online digital champion training programme.
  • Keep records of your community involvement and the impact you make, through our online platform.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to grow your own digital skills and connect with other champions.

Training
We provide free CPD certified online training courses.

Time commitment

As a Volunteer Digital Champion, your mission is to bridge the digital divide and empower individuals with the skills and knowledge they need in today's digital age.

• This is a volunteer position, and we ask for at least 2 hours per week or every other week for at least 6 weeks, but we welcome other patterns, and we appreciate more hours!
• We're flexible about how long you can volunteer, and we can work out the details together.
