Good News Shared
Good News Shared, a not-for-profit online platform features positive, charitable news stories from around the world. There is so much negativity in the media, so Good News Shared was set up to show people that good things happen too.

Good News Shared, a not-for-profit online platform featuring positive news stories is looking for writers to contribute articles about the wonderful things people and organisations are getting up to during this challenging time.

The voluntary role will involve contacting local charities and social enterprises to let them know about Good News Shared, and to create interesting content from the information they provide.

Volunteers are required to spend a minimum of 4 hours a week on researching and writing content, and to commit to a minimum of 2 months.

This is a flexible, home-based opportunity, so you will be able to work the hours you want. You will need to have excellent writing skills, be self-motivated, creative, curious, and have good communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in journalism, creative writing, marketing, or within the voluntary sector. The role's aim is to research and write articles about the positive contributions organisations are making to society.

  • Contact charities, social enterprises, and local community groups via email
  • Update Excel spreadsheet with organisations contacted
  • Search for recent interesting videos on YouTube that have been viewed less than 500 times
  • Write articles using the information provided by the organisations
Who will the volunteers be working with?
