Hours                           Minimum expectation of 4 – 6 hours per week during Term time

 

Purpose of the job:

This position is an important role that sits within the Sport and Physical Activity Team. The role will provide excellent customer service to the users of TeamUCL Gym as well as providing administrative support to TeamUCL and the wider department. This role is central to helping achieve our aim of becoming the best University for Sport in London and provide the best experience possible within our on-campus gyms. Successful candidates will be expected to work early, late and weekend shifts as well as completing mandatory training which includes a first aid certification.

Job description
  • Be the first point of contact for all enquiries to TeamUCL Gyms, providing exceptional levels of customer service 
  • To fulfil all operational duties required in the running of the gym, including but not limited to:
    • Using Legend software (CRM) to manage and review memberships
    • Selling memberships to prospective members
    • Completing health and safety checks
    • Conducting gym tours
    • Stock taking 
  • To check emails regularly, helping manage the TeamUCL and TeamUCL Gym Reception shared inboxes, and responding to all enquiries in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Ensure good and consistent housekeeping and presentation of the reception area, to ensure it is an appealing first point of call for customers.
  • To assist the Sports Administrator with the smooth running of competitive fixtures, with duties included but not limited to:
    • Reviewing and processing BUCS and LUSL match travel reclaims.
    • To check and log BUCS & LUSL match team sheets and results, ensuring that BUCS Play is completely up to date.
    • To assist with conducting sports club membership checks..
  • To assist with the set-up and running of all TeamUCL events, such as Varsity, 5-a-side Football world cup and Campus Run.
  • To provide regular assistance updating of information on the Students’ Union website including creating events, tracking data and emailing participants
  • To provide regular assistance creating and posting on relevant social media channels
  • The role will require the post holder to work a variety of hours, including regular evening and irregular weekend shifts.
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required.
