Purpose of the job 

We are looking to hire a proactive and reliable student to assist with the delivery of Students’ Union activities at the School of Management during the 2026/2027 academic year, including Term 3 and summer.  

You will support a wide range of activities including day-to-day administrative tasks on campus and assisting with planning, promoting, and delivering events, which may require occasional evening and weekend work.  

We are looking for someone who is confident stepping up as a true member of our small team, ready to learn and to contribute to shaping Students’ Union operations in Canary Wharf.

Job description
  • Maintain a regular on-campus working day and proactive communication with School of Management Coordinator, including replying to messages and emails in a timely manner and attending regular team meetings.  
  • Assist with administrative tasks and event promotion as required.  
  • Provide logistical support during events, including registration, directing attendees, setting up equipment and managing event materials. This may include evening and weekend working.  
  • Act as SU representative and coordinator for designated off-site events.  
  • Act as a point of contact for event participants, providing information and assistance as needed. 
  • Act as point of contact and facilitator for student society event bookings, including ensuring that all SU requirements are met.  
  • Ensure all events adhere to SoM and Canary Wharf Group’s health and safety guidelines and assist with completing risk assessments. *during events 
  • Gather student feedback and communicate with Course Reps and other student representatives.  
  • Support SU pop-up events as and when required.
