An extraordinary night of history and music
Experience the Main Quad at its most magical, with a timeless evening of classical music as the sun sets beneath the Portico's grand columns.
UCL's Symphony Orchestra has teamed up with professional musicians for an evening of musical triumph. You can expect a vibrant programme of orchestral favourites, from traditional symphonic masterpieces to beloved British classics. For one night only, our Portico will be transformed into an open-air concert hall for an extraordinary evening celebrating UCL's rich musical legacy on the building that started it all.
Sit back, enjoy the sunset, and let the beautiful melodies move you on this incredibly special evening. Whether you're a devoted classical music enthusiast or just looking for a magical evening filled with music and celebration, this event promises an unforgettable evening for everyone.

UCL200 Summer Festival by Students' Union UCL
This event is part of our UCL200 Summer Festival, and we've got a whole programme of activity planned to celebrate the bicentenary in style. The Main Quad will be transformed for a week of music, film, debate and a big student-only celebration - the Bicentenary Ball. During the days, come and get involved in a range of activities, workshops, and events, or just join us in the sunshine to take in the atmosphere in the Quad.
