We're transforming campus for the ultimate party to mark this historic year. Join us for an unforgettable finale to the UCL200 Summer Festival, entirely for students, and come together to celebrate being the class of UCL200.
Spend your evening dancing under the stars in the Main Quad with our legendary DJ, inside the Cloisters belting it out at the silent disco, or exploring our hidden treasures on the Wilkins Terrace. Find out what the rest of 2026 has in store with our tarot reader, have a midnight feast on us from our delicious food trucks or cheers to the next 200 years with your free drinks token. Wherever the night takes you, we can promise wonder around every corner.

Dance the night away
The night will be soundtracked by the ETH/UZH Big Band, a 20-piece jazz band all the way from Zurich, Switzerland!
The group will transform the Quad into a non-stop dance floor, playing all of your favourite singalong classics, party anthems and greatest hits. The band will be fronted by singers from the UCL community, so it's sure to be a performance not to miss.
After a successful UK tour in 2025, and multiple Jazz festival appearances, the ETH/UZH Big Band are delighted to be back to the UK for what's bound to be an unforgettable night.
What's included in the ticket price?
Alongside access to the event and entertainment all evening, your ticket also comes with one free drink from any of the bars on site, either alcoholic or non-alcoholic, and one main meal from our delicious food vendors.
Timings
Doors will open at 19:00 and the event will run until late.
Dress Code
Our Bicentenary Ball is a black tie celebration, so shine your shoes, straighten your bow ties and slip into your best dress. We're celebrating UCL200 in style, and we'd love for you to dress to mark the occasion.
Arrival
Please arrive to the event via Gower Street, through the black gates at the main entrance of the Quad. Entry will not be granted via any other entrance, including through the Wilkins Terrace, Cloisters, Japanese Gardens, Student Centre or surrounding buildings. A UCL200 steward will be there to greet you, so please have your ticket ready. Strictly no entry without a ticket.
Tickets
To ensure as many of us as possible can come together to celebrate UCL during this milestone year, we have limited tickets to UCL students only. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate members of the public or students from other Universities at this event.
UCL200 Summer Festival by Students' Union UCL
This event is part of our UCL200 Summer Festival, and we've got a whole programme of activity planned to celebrate the bicentenary in style. The Main Quad will be transformed for a week of music, film, debate and a big student-only celebration - the Bicentenary Ball. During the days, come and get involved in a range of activities, workshops, and events, or just join us in the sunshine to take in the atmosphere in the Quad.
