Pestival - 20th Anniversary Fundraiser
Presented by Pestival
For twenty years, Pestival has used art, science, comedy and culture to help people see insects differently. NOT simply as pests, but as extraordinary and essential parts of the living world.
Now, Pestival needs a little help of its own.
After two decades of building the PESTIVAL name, the Community Interest Company has found itself in a trademark dispute with Rentokil. The legal costs of protecting the name have exhausted Pestival’s available funds.
On Wednesday 14 October, comedian Stewart Lee hosts a special night at the Bloomsbury Theatre, bringing together friends, comedians, artists and Pestival supporters for an evening of entertainment in support of Pestival.
Expect an appropriately eclectic celebration of insects, culture and comedy, and the surreal predicament of an insect festival finding itself in a battle with the world’s biggest pest-control company.
Funds raised will help us defend the PESTIVAL name at this critical moment and sustain the cultural, educational and environmental work at the heart of our mission.
Come and support Pestival, have a brilliant night, and help keep this wonderfully peculiar twenty-year project alive.
