The London Borough of Camden is committed to bridging the digital divide by supporting residents to get online. The Digital Inclusion team is seeking a research volunteer to conduct a rapid literature review on evaluating impact of their initiatives. As a research volunteer, you will investigate how other councils, organisations, and governments, both within the UK and internationally, have evaluated similar digital inclusion initiatives.
By synthesising best practices and existing frameworks, your review will provide the London Borough of Camden with a robust evidence base to inform the design of an ethical and practical evaluation framework. This foundational work will provide insights that help ensure the digital inclusion programme meets the needs of the community effectively and provides the team with insight and best practices.
This opportunity is ideal for students interested in digital policy, community-based research, and using evidence synthesis to drive meaningful impact.
- Investigate evaluation methods from diverse sources, including academic literature, government reports, and case studies from other regions.
- Identify best practices and relevant evaluation frameworks (e.g., the Digital Inclusion Evaluation Toolkit from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology).
- Compile your findings into a clear, concise report with actionable recommendations.
