St Joseph’s Hospice relies on the generosity and support of our local community to permit us to continue providing for our patients and their families. We need to raise around £7 million a year to keep the Hospice running and source income through a number of channels. By becoming a fundraising volunteer you would be directly assisting us with this mammoth task and ensuring that we can be there for everyone who needs us the most.
Whether you would like to volunteer on a regular weekly or monthly basis or if your time available to volunteer is on more of an ad hoc basis, we would love to welcome you to the Fundraising Team!
As an office volunteer, you would be based in our friendly office at St Joseph’s Hospice, roles tend to last from 2 hours to a couple of days depending on the project and so there really is something for everyone!
As a fundraising office volunteer you might help with:
- Sending out mailings
- Refreshing our collection tins
- Laminating
- Stock checking
- Making telephone calls
- Contacting local clubs and businesses
- Contacting local schools
- Making up packs for our annual Rudolph Run event
