£1000-1300

I'm Gana, 32 and I'll be studying a full-time postgrad in September at the Gower Street campus - Bloomsbury. the course lasts a year, though I would likely stay on after the degree ends if I like the place. My lifestyle is closer to a working professional than a typical student, so perhaps postgrads, mature students and international students are the best fit.

I grew up in Surrey and I'm a pretty standard British-African. I'm really clean and organised and naturally clean up after myself. I like to keep the spaces I use tidy, rather than relying on a regimented weekly cleaning rota. I would prefer housemates who become friends; housemates that interact with each other and socialise but can maintain our own space. A pub quiz partner, chatting in the kitchen, watching a film or having friends over are all great. I couldn't live with housemates who disappear into their rooms and only communicate about bins or argue over fridge space!

I work in regulation and I am trying to make some inroads with my writing, so having a home I enjoy spending time in and I can work in matters to me. I work from home a lot and bring my own desk and monitors, so a decent-size bedroom matters more to me than anything else.

In terms of budget, I'd like to stay around £1,100 a month including bills, but I'm flexible up to about £1,250 for the right place. I am looking for a home rather than a year of accommodation, I would rather pay more and have the right kind of accommodation (living room, big bedrooms, balcony etc) than cheap out.

Outside work and study, I'm into writing, reading, music, exhibitions, talks and other cultural stuff. Basically, I like culture, creativity and the rest is History. I have a GCSE in Dance and I've always wanted to get back into it. I'd also like to go to more gigs - I've never really done that.

I'm happy to buddy up and search together. I'm mainly looking around Camden, King's Cross, Islington, Holloway, Archway, Tufnell Park, Kentish Town, Belsize Park and Finsbury Park. I'd also be happy with Kennington, Oval, Vauxhall, Brixton or Camberwell if the right place came up south of the river. I'm open minded about the area as long as getting to Bloomsbury is easy. More than anything, I'd like to find people with a similar idea of what makes a good home and then find the place together.
