Election post
If elected, I hope to create safe spaces where women students feel heard, supported, and never alone. Feeling safe is fundamental to every aspect of life, and this is something I care about deeply. I want to strengthen mental health provision, improve access to sexual health resources, and build a network where every woman, regardless of background or identity, truly belongs. A vote for me is a vote for real, lasting support.
I bring lived experience and a long-standing commitment to women's welfare. As a psychology student, I have a strong understanding of mental health and human behaviour that I would bring directly into this role. Feminist ideas have shaped my thinking throughout my life, giving me a deep awareness of the challenges women face. I am empathetic, approachable, and not afraid to have difficult conversations. I will bring warmth, dedication, and a student-centred perspective to everything I do.
Students should vote for me because this role is not something I have recently come to. A commitment to women's welfare, safety, and equality has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. With my background in psychology, I have the passion and academic grounding to make a real difference. I know first-hand how much it matters to feel safe, and I will fight to ensure every woman has access to that. I will show up for you, every single day.
In 200 years, I hope UCL builds on its radical legacy as the first university to admit women, creating a world where women in education face no barriers whatsoever. I envision a UCL where women lead groundbreaking research, shape global policy, and feel completely safe and supported doing so. Founded on the belief that women belong in education, UCL's next 200 years should deepen that promise, a beacon of equality, ambition, and belonging for every woman.
