Why I'm applying

Members maketh the society.

I have enjoyed interacting with many wonderfully diverse, fun and capable women since I joined Women in STEM. I love the sense of community and I would like to contribute to it as an Events Officer. My aim is for Women in STEM society to be a place where you actively belong and a proactive space for growth and equity.

What I will do better

• Have your say and tailor your experience as a member. I intend to give the chance to vote for events, so your time is well spent.
• I want us to be efficient in providing more engaging events every time. I will be actively asking for and implementing feedback after events.
• Many important workplace skills (like setting boundaries or being assertive) are never taught, only learned the hard way, especially for women. I want to offer professional skills-based workshops as a solution.

More About Me

I am Divyanshi and I'm a first year BSc Biological Sciences student. Currently, I am interested in science communication and genetics. I’m great at logistics and planning, with a creative side that emerges especially for party planning.
