Hey guys, I am standing for UCL TSoc's Head of Culture because I am passionate about celebrating and sharing the richness of Tamil heritage within our university community!

As part of UCL Tamil Society, I have seen how powerful cultural events can be in bringing people together, strengthening friendships, and creating a sense of belonging away from home, something I want to continue into the next academic year.

My goal is to create inclusive, engaging experiences that not only connect Tamil students to their roots but also invite the wider UCL community to appreciate and learn about our culture. I want to transform our cultural calendar into a journey — one that celebrates festivals like Pongal, Deepavali, and Tamil New Year with authenticity and energy, while also introducing innovative ideas that reimagine how we experience Tamil heritage. I would introduce fresh initiatives like Tamil showcases, interactive language workshops, and cultural exchange events to make our heritage more engaging, inclusive, and memorable for everyone.

Culture should unite us, inspire us, and give us confidence in our identity. As Head of Culture, I would pour my creativity, dedication, and passion into building events that are not only memorable in the moment, but that leave a lasting impact on our society and the wider UCL community.
