Oscar Wiley

Hey everyone it's Oscar, I am a 2nd-year English student and this year's Media and Marketing. As Vice President and Welfare, I would draw from what I noticed was missing the most this year to continue what we got right in these areas:

• Make more merch: In the absence of a VP this year, there hasn’t been enough merch. I would reach out to companies early in the summer to plan designs and timings to make sure that by term time, we have more merch ready to go.
• Reach out to more sponsors and continue this year’s partnerships: This is something that we have been very successful with this year. I would retain the connections we have already made and start early by reaching out to companies over the summer to start the new term running!
• Keep people safe: This year, without an obvious person to turn to, unfortunately, the responsibility of welfare fell to people it shouldn't have. It would be my main priority to prevent this moving forward; it is unfair and puts our members at risk. Whether they have gotten too drunk, injured themselves or been attacked, we must have measures in place to protect our members during our events.
• Support the president and new committee: As well as our paid memebrs it would be my job to make sure the new committee is supported, and having experience on the committee will allow me to give advice and help other members when they need.

Overall, I have loved my last 2 years at Snowsports and want to help it stay as fun and as welcoming as it has been for me!
