Salsa Society: Performance Coordinator

I am excited to nominate myself for the roles of Events Secretary for our Salsa Society. Over my time in the society, I have developed not only a strong passion for salsa but also a deep appreciation for the organisation, teamwork, and creative coordination that make our events and performances successful. As Events Secretary, I would focus on delivering well-structured, engaging, and professionally executed events that reflect the energy and inclusivity of our society.

I bring:

• Strong organisational skills – I am confident in managing timelines, booking venues, coordinating logistics, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Clear communication – I understand that smooth events depend on consistent coordination between committee members, instructors, venues, DJs, and participants.
• Attention to detail – From risk assessments to scheduling workshops and managing ticketing, I am thorough and proactive in preventing last-minute issues.
• Creativity and initiative – I would aim to diversify our events calendar with themed socials, collaborative events with other societies, and potentially inter-university exchanges.

My goal would be to ensure our events are not only enjoyable but also well-attended, financially sustainable, and reflective of the vibrant Salsa community.

I am re-running for my position because I already have the experience in organising and managing performance dates. I am familiar with coordinating with our team captains and I am excited to continue this work again! Thank you again for voting <3
