Hi everyone, hopefully you recognise my face :) I'm currently in my 3rd year as full time RAX enthusiast and part-time German and Latin student and though my dedication has been somewhat limited by my year abroad ( but I didn't miss BUCS cross-country!) I would love to be your welfare officer 2026-2027!

Running brings me joy, not every run, no, but it has an ability to motivate me and clear my mind and running with others is that - times 100. I guess I have to admit – I’m addicted to it.

But you can't ignore its darker side.  Noticing when you’re too injured to train, when you need a break, when today isn't the day is always difficult. In the past, I have struggled with issues eating and low mood, I did run, yes but it wasn't the solution. It’s crucial to notice when you need help - just a chat or if it’s serious – professional help.

As your welfare officer, I want to offer support, whether people are struggling physically or mentally, that RAX is a place not just to run but also to talk and socialize. A problem shared is a problem halved :)

My aims:

  • Host a weekly coffee session for nattering and chilling
  • Offer a session a week for one on ones to signpost people to where they can get the support they need.
  • Continue organizing talks on important issues such as RED-S

Ever since I joined as a nervous fresher, RAX has been a place where I’ve run but most of all had fun and I want to give that to others too, to support people in the same way. I would be honoured to have your vote!
