Ayda Ugurel

Hi everyone! My name is Ayda, and I am standing for re-election as your Social Media Officer. Having served in this role during my first year, I’ve realised that this is exactly where I belong. I’m not seeking any other position on the committee because my passion truly lies in the work I’m already doing, and I want to keep that energy going for another year. The "why" is simple: I love the creativity this role demands. My favourite part of being Social Media Officer has been producing content and drafting the templates that shape our magazine’s online presence. There is something so rewarding about translating our contributors' hard work into a visual identity that resonates with our audience. I’ve also found that collaborating with the Students’ Union on Instagram has been a highlight, it’s helped me feel truly integrated into the magazine and the wider UCL community! Beyond the grids and the metrics, I’m standing because of the people. I genuinely love working with this lovely committee and want to continue contributing my creativity to such a supportive environment. Looking ahead, I hope to further increase our digital engagement by introducing more interactive content that showcases the incredible diversity of our student contributors. I am so proud of what we have achieved so far, and I would be honoured to continue shaping Pi Media’s visual legacy for another year.
