I originally joined this society for the bird-lover in me, but through the many events that have happened in the past year, I stayed for the amazing people that I have met. The biggest thing that struck me about Natsoc is how the committee is so interchangeable. I think everybody shares the roles, which genuinely contributed to me enjoying my time because it felt so easy to talk to everyone; there wasn't a committee clique. Seeing how much I have enjoyed this society, I would also like to give what I can back to it, which is my...organisational skills. It doesn't sound impressive, but I think a big part of being the secretary is managing events, and seeing how I've been to most of them (excluding the colouring because I have clashes unfortunately), I can argue that my organisational skills are exceptional. I am also a very persistent person. If someone is not doing their job on the committee, I will make them do it, or at least die trying. This will be important for the operations of the society. Aside from this, though, the core reason as to why I am running is that I truly love this society, and I wish for it to be just as good for others as it was for me as a new student.
