Angelina Ding

Hi everyone, I’m Angelina!

If you’ve been in St Pancras Church during the day, you are likely to have encountered me practising (or procrastinating) on the organ there. As an organist, pianist and flautist, being in concert band and accompanying chamber choir has been an absolute blast for me this year. I have grown to really love the Music Soc community which is why I am running for VP!

Why me:

  • As an experienced organ scholar I have great connections with various churches in London so we can get hold of some prestigious performance venues
  • I’m quite chronically online - so I’ll be sure to reply to everyone with speed and make communication easy for all
  • I'm very organised so will be sure to schedule meetings, order merch and get things done efficiently & on time
  • I’ll support managers in organising rehearsals, concerts and socials throughout the year

What I want to bring:

  • More social events across all the different ensembles & music families
  • More merch with new designs!!
  • More performance opportunities such as recitals for soloists and small ensembles
  • Collaboration with other societies & ensembles outside UCL
  • Find sponsors to support us!

I want to help make Music Soc even more fun and inclusive than it already is. I’ve genuinely loved my time here this year, and I’d love the chance to give back and help create that same experience for even more people. Thank you!!

Ben Smith

Hi! UCL Music Society was the first society I joined, and after spending two years as a part of it, it remains the most important to me. This year as string orchestra manager I have gained a significant amount of committee experience, and have enjoyed the success of the improvements that we have been able to make to the ensemble (especially on the social side!)

As VP I would look forward to be able to give back even more to the society I am so grateful to be a part of. I will support the actions of the president and strive for society-wide improvements.

  • Social - make society-wide socials a more common thing!! More socials for freshers at the start of the year!
  • Collaboration - opportunities for UCL Music Soc to collaborate with groups outside of the university
  • Support other committee members, mainly social, publicity and collaboration coordinators

Thank you!
